Skinny Shaming Is A Real Thing

Let's get real today, many people seem to think that skinny shaming is acceptable. Suggesting certain women really need to get a pizza or a burger and eat the whole thing it is an unacceptable joke. People only hear about fat shaming but skinny shaming is a real problem too.

NounThe action or practice of humiliating someone by making mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size.

Don't get me wrong, I have had positive comments like I can pull of anything because I am skinny, that I could be a model and I have had girls tell me that they would kill to have my body however I have been asked how sad it is not having a big ass, I have been told that the wind will blow me away and that men do not want bones, they want curves (especially from the African community). Bones, too skinny, toothpick are just a few of the names I've been called over the years. Instead of being greeted with a typical "Hey, how are you" you often hear "you are…


So seems like these days everyone wants the typical African lips or as some of you call it the "Kylie Jenner lips" and you can get the plumper lips without any medical procedure *wink*. I use these tricks myself even though I already have my full lips. I do it when I want them to look even fuller and to have that sexy look. Keep on reading if you want to know how I do it and at the end of this post there will be a video I filmed some months ago on how I do some of these tricks. 

1. EXFOLIATE I like to use a toothbrush by gently brushing my lips and if they are dry, I put a lip balm and leave it to soak into the skin for 5 to 10 minutes while I am doing something else.
2. CONCEAL AND HIGHLIGHT Apply concealer a shade lighter than you skintone all around your lip edge and then apply a highlighter over the top of the V on the cupid's bow to make it pop and along the edge of your whole top lip. This will create an illusion of a rounded, full lip contour.
